Kellpo A/S strengthens the team

In recent years, Kellpo in Thisted has experienced rapid development, where the company’s “youngest” business area, packaging production, has generated particularly incredible rates of growth. The potential is huge, and this excellent development looks set to continue, and therefore Kellpo is now rearming and appointing Ole Petersen from Aabybro as CEO as of 1st May 2018.
Kellpo A/S has been known for its sharp expertise in the development and production of injection moulding tools for the packaging industry for almost 30 years. The company’s current activities are distributed over three business areas; tool manufacture, cutting and packaging production, and it is especially the latter business area that has shown to have considerable potential for growth. To realise this potential, there is a need for a more customer and sales-orientated focus, and that is the reason that Kellpo is now appointing Ole Petersen as CEO.
- “Poul and I have a technical and tradesman background, and this has clearly been reflected in the way in which Kellpo is developed and run. Over the years, it has been a technology-driven company, and so far, it has worked well. However, with the growth potential we see ahead of us, we believe that there is a need to strengthen the customer-driven approach to the business so that we increase our focus on finding exact solutions that match individual customer needs in the best possible way. We want to strengthen both management and the strategic sales efforts, and with the appointment of Ole, we achieve both. Therefore, Poul and I will focus our efforts going forward on project management, production and development of ideas, while Ole will oversee business development”, says Director Kjeld Pedersen, who along with Poul Pedersen own Kellpo.
A powerful combination
With the appointment of Ole Petersen, Kellpo gets a Director with an impressive CV. Ole Petersen comes from a position as Senior Sales Project Manager at DESMI Contracting A/S, and he has held senior positions in the past at Abena, Danfoss Denmark and The East Asiatic Company (EAC). So, it is an experienced gentleman who will be sitting in the Director’s chair at Kellpo.
- “All his life Ole has worked on building up and the operation of efficient sales organisations, and it is precisely such a profile that we have been looking for. Where Poul and I have a “technical package”, Ole has a “sales package”, and it is precisely this combination that we believe is perfect to ensure Kellpo’s continued development and growth. We all have the necessary knowledge, experience and technology in-house to perform all processes in the value chain from the development of a qualified design presentation and production maturity to operational preparations, ramp-up, production and scale of production. And with the appointment of Ole, we also upgrade our competencies in strategic sales and business development. I am convinced with the team we have put together that we are fully geared up to meet both an exciting and ambitious growth strategy for Kellpo”, says Kjeld Pedersen.
